It's Only Make Believe
This is in the Globe and Mail, this morning: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/world/article-canada-border-trump-drug-crime/
Canada should BUY more stuff for border control.
Seriously.
Admittedly, I have a problem with Statistics, posted about it a lot, but going with figures I have already posted….5 000 People in 1 month last year left Canada to go to the United States illegally. Statscan says we usually AVERAGE around 1 500 a month.
Trump’s advisors say Canadian Illegals are a problem?
Already, posted it is not that hard for a Canadian Citizen to LEGALLY go the US. Even American defined requirements, still not hard, so, why do they go Illegally? Come here Illegally? And, go on?
First from CBC: https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/health-care-us-analysis-1.7409425
Before I comment on the article, recognize the media world we live in: WE, Canadians, Mexicans and Americans, are expected to believe People are flooding into the States, Illegals with real pictures of line ups and snowprints, apparently, shown. Nonetheless doing so, despite both Canada and Mexico having Universal Healthcare, Social Welfare Programs and better relationships with the Rest of the World.
So, jobs? In the States?
From CBC, to quote, I kid you not, despite Elizabeth Rosenthal writing this: 18 per cent of claims are denied by insurers, where 42 per cent of cancer patients exhaust their life savings.
She cited horror stories she's collected. Like struggling newborn babies getting rejected by insurance companies questioning whether they really needed that fourth night in the neonatal ICU. This, she says, is an example of a computer-assisted rejection.
"The [baby's] first letter in life is a denial letter," she said. "You know a human didn't write that letter,
the article’s conclusion is this: The majority of Americans are happy with their current health plan.
And, what follows is a litany of explanations of why private is better than public Health. Rather than a consideration of how any PRIVATE Health System can function when People have no money.
The absurdity of comparing Public to Private when the issue is there is no Profit in Poverty. The American system benefits the rich, alone.
Anyhow, with that in mind, why are Illegal Immigrants, usually poor, flooding into the States nonetheless…
The United States provides better opportunities for desperate Illegals than either Canada or Mexico?
The Americans HUNT People!
And, People come to Canada, maybe leave after their first Winter, but our Country is pretty good, to go to the States? People get to Mexico, it looks like a beautiful place and has no Winter, has Healthcare, so, why leave?
Whenever Illegals or Immigrants are mentioned, it’s a distraction.
We have no Reporters. Not on the American side of the Border, not on our side, the American but Southern side of the Border, Mexico. Newscasters are not Journalists. And, no one is investigating; we just have news services which are for propaganda, not actual news.
Reuters drives me crazy because it adds true stories to blend with its propaganda and I always have to check.
Anyhow.
The targeting of particular groups is like 1930s Germany. A particular group is vilified as the source of a Country’s woes rather real consideration of what’s going on.
Reuters is telling a true story about TESLA and anticipated Trump perks rather than an investigation of Starlink and Ukraine. For those not in the know, Ukraine is losing its battles despite Starlink.
American stuff tends not to work. I have long gone about the Houthi and whatever your opinion, they are cost efficient, and despite the big, expensive American ships, the Houthi have been able to close the Red Sea.
The poorest Country in the world defeated the richest.
And that’s relevant because I began this post with reference to Canada having to strengthen Border Security. Not an issue if WE use our stuff.
But
OUR Minister of Defence wants to buy American, looks like OUR Border Security wants to as well…stuff that doesn’t work?
Because People aren’t actually there?
Or, because the actual issue is money.
I do not want to give any more to the Americans.
